How Our Program Works

The EBB program was developed by the California Earthquake Authority (CEA) and the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) to help homeowners lessen the potential for damage to their house during an earthquake.

See If You Qualify

Homeowners who live in select ZIP Codes, with homes that have certain characteristics, may be eligible for a grant of up to $3,000 to help pay for a seismic retrofit of their house. Low-income homeowners, as funding permits, may qualify for a supplemental grant, which is additional funding over and above the EBB $3,000 grant.

Supplemental Grants

Earthquake Brace + Bolt (EBB) is now offering additional funding above the $3,000 EBB grant to help low-income homeowners complete a brace + bolt retrofit.
